How long is the Playday Evaluation?

It's a drop-off evaluation. You'll drop your pup off with us, and we'll conduct the evaluation while you're gone. Plan on picking up within 2-3 hours. We'll review health history, do a quick check, and observe them in supervised play to see how they interact with other dogs.

What do I bring?

Just bring your dog on a leash and proof of current vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella). If you have any medical records or behavior notes from your vet, those are helpful too.

What vaccines are required?

Accepted Answer

All dogs must be current on Rabies, DHPP (Distemper/Parvo), and Bordetella (kennel cough). We strongly recommend Canine Influenza as well. Vaccine records must be submitted before your Playday Evaluation is confirmed.

When do I need to submit vaccines?

Please submit vaccine records at least 48 hours before your scheduled Playday Evaluation. You can email them to info@kiwidogz.com or bring them with you (though earlier submission helps us confirm your appointment).

What happens if my dog isn't a fit for open play?

Not all dogs thrive in group play environments, and that's okay! If we determine open play isn't the best fit, we'll discuss alternative options and can recommend other services or training resources.

Question 6

Can I book grooming too?

Yes! Once your dog is approved for daycare, you can add grooming services during their daycare visits. It's one of our most popular combinations—drop off for play, pick up fresh and clean.

What ages do you accept?

Puppies must be at least 12 weeks old and have completed their first round of vaccines. We accept dogs of all ages after that, as long as they're healthy and social.

Do you accept unaltered dogs?

Accepted Answer

Dogs over 7 months old must be spayed or neutered. Puppies under 7 months can attend daycare while unaltered, but must be fixed before their 8th month to continue.

Can I tour the facility?

For safety and to minimize distractions for the dogs, we don't offer walk-in tours. However, during your Playday Evaluation, we're happy to show you around and answer all your questions.

What's next after the evaluation?

If your dog passes, we'll get them registered in our system and you can start booking daycare right away! We'll show you how to use our online portal to schedule visits, check webcams, and manage your account.
