PlayDay Evaluation

Dogz will wear a bright green collar on PlayDay Evaluations. This allows all staff to recognize that this dog is here for the first day and will need help finding their way around.

Once passing PDE all dogs are graded according to their play energy level.

A Dogz

These dogs are great with other dogs and do well in our high energy environment. As long as we have space available they are welcome.

B Dogz

These dogs require more time and attention to their placement in group, meaning that they may not do well at gates, and/or do not do well with dogs coming into their space or leaving their space. These dogs usually have high energy (rough) play and may need a smaller group of dogs. We limit these dogs to 4 per day. Owners of B dogs need to plan their reservations in advance.

C Dogz

These are dogs that may have had some sort of issue in the past but can do better in groups of a smaller number and more experienced group leaders. These dogs require more rest time and supervision. We limit C dogs to 2 per day. Owners of these dogs need to plan reservations well in advance.

D Dogz

These dogs do not join in group play. These are dogs that have been coming to us for some time but due to age or health issues no longer enjoy group play.

Whilst your dog may start their journey with us as an A dog they may become a B or C designation as they become more comfortable in our environment...the opposite can also happen as dogz mature.

As always, if your dog is responsible for hurting another dog or person they are not a good fit for KIWIdogz.

The safety and well being of all dogz in our care remains our top priority and we hope by limiting the number of challenging dogz will help us achieve this goal.
